Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Upgrade Electric is fully licensed in California as a C-10 Electrical Contractor and carries all required insurance to safely work on residential and commercial properties.
Do you offer free estimates?
Absolutely. We provide no-obligation estimates for all electrical services. Call us or email to schedule your quote.
How quickly can you schedule service?
Most non-emergency service calls are scheduled within 1–3 business days. Larger projects may require permitting before work can begin.
Can you pull permits and coordinate inspections?
Yes. We handle all permitting and schedule inspections with your local city or county as part of our turnkey service.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of San Diego County, including San Diego, Chula Vista, Jamul, La Mesa, El Cajon, La Jolla, Spring Valley, San Ysidro, Imperial Beach, Vista, and Coronado.
Do you install Tesla or other EV chargers?
Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint, Enel X, Grizzl-E, and other EVSE brands. We also assess your panel to ensure it can handle the new load.
Will I need a panel upgrade to install an EV charger or solar system?
Possibly. Many older homes need a panel upgrade before adding EV chargers or solar. We perform a load calculation to determine if your existing system is sufficient.
What brands of generators do you install?
We install and service major brands like Generac, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, and Cummins for both residential and commercial properties.
Do you work on older homes?
Yes. We specialize in upgrading electrical systems in older properties, including knob-and-tube, aluminum wiring, and fuse boxes.
Can you work with my contractor or designer?
Definitely. We regularly collaborate with builders, general contractors, and interior designers on new construction and remodels.
Do you provide emergency or weekend service?
We offer flexible scheduling and do our best to accommodate urgent needs. Contact us for current availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Payment terms are discussed at the time of estimate or scheduling.
Is your work covered by a warranty?
Yes. We stand by our workmanship and provide warranty coverage on labor and installed materials. Details are provided with your service agreement.
